... Lucinda didn't do it for me. I know I'm a heretic
:)

I think she's an acquired taste. She's, let's say, something less than a dynamic performer, although I love her songs. I think this concert may be the one I bought on DVD. 74 minutes, sixteen songs, and I think she cracked a smile maybe once. Still, I like her enough to spend twenty bucks.

she is a bit of an acquired taste but i think she's also gotten weirder in the last few years. she just didn't look good, nor sing good. on that first song, it looked like she was reading the lyrics off a notebook on a stand in front of her. i say this as someone who's been a fan of her stuff for a long time.

PBS Kentucky (KET) is running a tribute to James Taylor....wow. So far I've seen Keith Urban, Dr. John and someone who's name I can't remember in a duet, Carole King, Sting, Allison Krauss and her steel player Jerry (last name escapes me at the moment), Bruce Springsteen.... geez what a list. Great show. I need to see if this gonna be available on dvd.

Caught Lucindas last song, it was less than dynamic. Still, wish I had caught the whole set, if for no other reason than to hear/see more of those fine Gretches her bandmates were weilding.

OCMS are fun. Old Time w/energy and a rock-n-roll attitude. Anybody that can saw a fiddle and sing at the same time gets my respect. Also +1 for the nerve of a band to feature not one, but 2, banjos at the same time!

Her songs are pretty good, IMO, but overall, I'm just kind of lukewarm about her. She doesn't appear to look as though she enjoys performing.

What Whit said about sawing a fiddle and singing at the same time. Now that takes some real skill!

what whit said about dual banjos! I think those guys each play a million different instruments. And well, too. I struggle with one.:p
