Members Samilyn Posted January 1, 2008 Members Posted January 1, 2008 Welcome to HCAG, Gger. My vote goes to Yamaha FG700. Lots of git for the buck - good sound and build quality.
Members Broadus Posted January 1, 2008 Members Posted January 1, 2008 Welcome to HCAG, Gger. My vote goes to Yamaha FG700. Lots of git for the buck - good sound and build quality. +1 Also, check out Art & Lutherie. Different sizes can be had in your price range (dread, folk, and parlor [Ami]).The Alvarez is also a good choice, and the RD8, if I remember correctly, comes with a hardshell case.Bill

Members MattSkibaIsGOD Posted January 1, 2008 Members Posted January 1, 2008 +1 I especially like the Waldens. Me too. If I had found a Walden D552 12 string before I bought my Alvarez, I'd probably own 4 waldens now.

Members guitarcapo Posted January 2, 2008 Members Posted January 2, 2008 These are awesome for the money. Solid spruce top and an onboard active pickup under 200 shipped.
Members moctzal Posted January 2, 2008 Members Posted January 2, 2008 http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1817854&page=14 About 2/3 of the way down there's a Walden there for $225. Acoustic/Electric, Cutaway, Solid spruce top, solid Sapele back, lam side. That's a heck of a deal there.

If, like me, you changed your viewing options, it's post #272. And yes it's a heckuva deal, especially if you have any interest in electronics or a cutaway.
