Members daklander Posted January 3, 2008 Members Posted January 3, 2008 Here are some tunes from an album we did back some years ago.The band was Dakota Night. The year was 1996.Freeman, feel free to post the last two to the Annex since those are my Vocals.Alberta Bound. A Gordon Lightfoot tune with Dennis on lead vocal and guitar. Tom on 12 string, me on rhythm and Alleen on bass with Alleen, Tom and me doing backup vocals. Pencil Thin Moustache, a Jimmy Buffet tune I did that the band really liked so we put it on the album. Me on lead vocal, Dennis on lead guitar, Tom on 12 string, Alleen on bass and me on rhythm. Stayin' Song is my re-write of a tune by Shel Silverstein, stolen from a Doctor Hook album. My lead vocal again with the rest of the band doing backups. Same guitar lineup. All tunes....Dennis playing his Martin. A D28 if I remember, circa late 60s/early 70s.Tom on Dennis' 12 string, don't know the make.Alleen on her Fender P Bass through, I believe, a now defunct Crate bass amp.Dak floggin' the Yamaha FG150.
Members OldGuitarPlayer Posted January 3, 2008 Members Posted January 3, 2008 Great stuff! Very well produced, good vocals and well played by everyone. You had a really nice group going then. Would've loved to have seen you perform live. Thanks for the tunes.

Members Samilyn Posted January 3, 2008 Members Posted January 3, 2008 Enjoyed that, Dak! Thanks for posting those! Always did like Alberta Bound. I've played my "Gord's Gold" CD to death. He's one of my favorites.
