Members medvejonok Posted January 3, 2008 Members Posted January 3, 2008 After years of playing 95% electric, I am looking at replacing a couple of my electrics with an acoustic/electric, and I'd like some recommendations. Here are the specs that are important to me:
Members Scott Fonseca Posted January 3, 2008 Members Posted January 3, 2008 Great price range, you may be able to get a used Taylor in that price range, they have "electric-like" necks, also look at Larrivee, as their guitars are well thought of here.
Members totamus Posted January 3, 2008 Members Posted January 3, 2008 Lots of potentials, but I am recently enamored with Blueridge. Check this one out: http://www.maurysmusic.com/inc/sdetail/53473
Members OldGuitarPlayer Posted January 3, 2008 Members Posted January 3, 2008 Well...for $799 you can get one of these:http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Taylor-114CE-Grand-Auditorium-AcousticElectric-Guitar?sku=514495 For $999 you can get one of these:http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Taylor-200-series-214CE-Grand-Auditorium-Acoustic-Electric-Guitar?sku=514497
Members Hudman Posted January 3, 2008 Members Posted January 3, 2008 Check out Larrivee guitars. You will find great prices and excellent service here:http://www.notableguitars.com/
Members Cozmo Posted January 3, 2008 Members Posted January 3, 2008 Larrivees are great. If you like Gibson, you may as well check out some of the Epiphones. Their Masterbuilt Series seem to get pretty good reviews. I haven't personally played them, but they seem decent. Here's the Epi AJ-500RE, which is like an Advanced Jumbo: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Epiphone-Masterbilt-AJ500RE-AcousticElectric-Guitar?sku=518104
