Members VintageToneGuy Posted January 7, 2008 Members Posted January 7, 2008 Maybe I listent too closely or something; but I've noticed for about a week now that my Alvarez AC60 Nylon String Acoustic|Electric has one string that is a little quieter than the rest when plugged in. The Low 'E' is the culprit. It's really noticeable when you play Bass notes with your thumb. I've turned everything off in the house to listen closely and even used headphones and I still think that the Low 'E' is about 30% less volume that the others. Any suggestions as to why or what I can do? Perhaps the ribbon in the bridge is 'off' position some? Thanks for any help.vtg PS - I did email Alvarez and haven't heard back as of yet.
Members AndrewGG Posted January 7, 2008 Members Posted January 7, 2008 I suspect that the bottom of the bridge saddle might not be firmly in contact with the transducer. You might want to take it to a guitar tech for a check up.
Members Stackabones Posted January 7, 2008 Members Posted January 7, 2008 I've had that problem with the high E. Took it to my tech a while ago and he fixed it, but it seems to be back again.
