Members g6120 Posted January 12, 2008 Members Posted January 12, 2008 Well I spent some time tweaking my recording of Pardon My Heart using an equalizer to get it sounding right. This is sort of a breakthrough song for me because I have been playing it all wrong for 30 years! I was using standard tuning with chords from the songbook and trying and trying to get it to sound like the record. I was just ignorant about alternate tunings. I found some chords online that gave the proper tuning (both E strings dropped to D then all strings dropped down one whole step further) I played it using that tuning and chords and hallelujah! I am finally able to play the song after decades of trying. I'm learning a lot about alternate tunings. See what you think of the sound on this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=083LcuZhQcI.
