Moderators daddymack Posted December 6, 2012 Moderators Share Posted December 6, 2012 At some point, once the label and RIAA lawyers get involved, Amoeba will wind up modifying their 'copyright agreement'. What they are doing is providing a service for the collector market, and charging for it, but they need to be more proactive regarding paying the original copyright holders/licensees. Since they are essentially copying off vinyl, all the information they need is on the label...just like radio stations used to do, they need to log this data and report it.
