Just watched one of those public tv fund raisers showing him at the Newport Folk Festival in '63,'64, and '65. Yeah, I like how in '65 he said FU to the Newport folk crowd and plugged in with Mike Bloomfield and the Paul Butterfield sidemen. Like A Rolling Stone! Seen in light of his memoirs, the book Positively 4th Street, and movie No Direction Home, I think he comes off as an incredibly apolitical careerist.
