Repairing a Gibson acoustic 12-string with a crushed top

Must be weird to see your old house on the web!!!!

Cool way for father/son to keep in touch though.


So the guitar is almost playable now? Amazing feat again!

Been playing it for several days now.

Some detail work & just keeping an eye on it for structural stability.

Been a while since I've seen you around. :wave:

JKH never lived in this house...When I settled here, he already had 4 kids.

But since he no longer lives 15 min away, It is one of our primairy connections.

He, also, was one of my test pilots & I miss his honest critique of my work...he never cut me any slack.

I'd been working on guitars for almost 3 yrs before he'd even let me touch one of his axes.

Proudest day of my guitar life, when he brought his first job to me!

This was the first major thing I did for him.

Now planning house move before the 25th, passing driving test, looking fr job in new town....

Way cool having that kind of help with guitars! Way cool!

I still love that gold guitar more than any other. I can't believe how much time has passed since that work was done.
