Members guitar_goob
Many congrats Rick! Those pictures are truly stunning though I'm sure, fall short of the "real McCoy". Can't wait to hear the sound clips. Happy NGD!!

Members wooglins
Incredible to say the least. One fine looking guitar.
Members kwakatak
Sorry I missed this, Rick. She looks DAMNED good. I REALLY need to build now but all this tech talk has me scared! Still, it must be a nice feeling to hold and hear your own creation. I've always thought that I didn't deserve to even touch many of the high end guitars that I've played in the past few years. I imagine that this feeling doesn't apply to one's own creations?
Members LaurentB
Have been on a trip to New York the last week, hence the late response, but DAMN what a beauty this one turned out to be!! I can't BELIEVE you achieved this on your first build! I'm really looking forward to some sound clips as well! Congratulations on this fantastic achievement with so many original ideas. Members rickoshea
thanks all .... I'm just back from getting sunburnt in Italy and have finally got a few clips done of my guitar. They might give you some idea of her tone despite my {censored}e playing http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=9508773&q=hi http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=9508774&q=hi http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=9509064&q=hi I'm still loving her

Members Misha
Fabulous guitar, Rick!! I would love to hear it but the links don't work, at least for me...
Members larry50
Fantastic Rick. The ovankol looks much lighter and richer under sunlight than under shop light, as do your exquisite wood appointments and inlays. Links don't work for me either. Members Misha
And Rick, make a book with all those pics you took during the process! At least, do something in a nice bookbinding (I mean reliure) for you!!
Members kwakatak
COngratulations, Rick. Did you do the initial setup yet? BTW, I wish I could hear the clips but for some reason I keep getting bumped to the soundclick home page.

Members kwakatak
I thought maybe it was a browser issue (I use Firefox) but I'm having the same issue in Safari. I REFUSE to use MSIE so I don't know. All I know is that I have moderately high security settings so it may have something to do with the popup player that soundclick uses. It's given me trouble in the past.

Rick may be able to send you an audio file via PM or email.

Members rickoshea
ok, new links that might (or might not ) work : http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9508773 http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9508774 http://soundclick.com/share?songid=9509064 Gary - thanks mate, lets hope no.2 gets started soon (right after I make some space in the workshop ) Misha - bookbinding is way, wayyyy beyond me lol. I do have them on DVD though (not quite the same I know ) Thanks Larry, and Neil - I have done the second setup after leaving her for the 3 odd weeks I was away. I skillfully managed to introduce some buzz on 5 and 6 but that'll be easily fixed. She plays beautifully now
Members Gary Palmer
Never a problem Rick. It shouldn't be too long before build #2 can go ahead, but you may find yourself needing to build a workshop extension.

Members LaurentB
Finally had a chance to listen to these clips. That sounds great, both much treble and bass. It's got a bit more treble than mine, I think, very nice clear sound! It'll get more transparent even over some time.
