Members Stackabones
So far so good. Sounds cool. I'll see if I can make a recording later. EDIT: Ok, here it is. Sip de rum. I used a different strum than I usually do on this tune, and I think it starts settling in a bit around 30 seconds in or so. Uke is my Kala archtop. A little more practice and I think it could be quite useful. EDIT EDIT: Blue Suede Shoes More conventional strumming pattern and with a chord solo in the break. I used a Yamaha FS720S. Members sixgunner455
That looks like it might be cool. I was trying to figure out from your description what it could be. One-man-band stuff. Cool.
Members Terry Allan Hall
Had a similar device, except it had a velcroed strap to go around your strummimg hand to hold the egg-shaped shaker...same principle, but bulkier.

Members Terry Allan Hall
That sounds much better than the egg doohickey I mentioned...with it, by design, if you play a 1-2-3-4 strum, it puts the beat emphasis on the "and" (1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and), whether or not you want the emphasis on the "and"... Gonna look for a Rhythm Ring next time I'm at GC.
