I’ve had good luck with Gotoh tuners. I’ve got inline with white button Gotohs on both my Duo Sonic II and my Tele, and I really like them a lot. I have a few guitars with Schallers, as well as some with Grovers, and I’ve been very happy with those too. The tuners on most of my guitars are good TBH, except maybe my ‘71 Mustang, which has the original Fender F-tuners, which I’ve never liked. Members Tommy guitar Posted January 17, 2021 Members Share Posted January 17, 2021 My theory is that if your tuning peg slips say a 1/8 of a turn while you're playing, then you'd definitely go out of tune on a 14:1 ratio peg, but not noticeably with a 21:1 peg?
