Musician's Friend has the TASCAM GT-R1 Portable Guitar and Bass Recorder for $159.99:

http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Tascam-GTR1-Portable-Guitar-and-Bass-Recorder?sku=247895

The "SaveMore" coupon code ($15 gift coupon for purchases of $100 - $299.99) didn't work for me, but you can try calling them at 866-462-9472 to see if you can use it. Also, the next tier of that coupon is $50 at $300, so if you've got anything else that you need... :)

Musician's Friend has a Cordoba Fusion 14 (black) for $319.99:

http://guitars.musiciansfriend.com/product/Cordoba-Fusion-14-Jet-Cutaway-Nylon-String-AcousticElectric-Guitar?sku=516983#used

Scroll to the bottom to see it (the "Condition 3 -- Good" entry). I was not able to get the "SaveMore" coupon to work, but you might try calling them to see if they will take that coupon code.

Purchase the Boss BR-600 Digital Recorder for $224.00:

http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product/Boss-BR600-Digital-Recorder?sku=241151

and get the American Audio HP550 headphones for free:

http://pro-audio.musiciansfriend.com/product?sku=993511

The lowest price I can find elsewhere is $224.00 for the recorder and $49.99 (+$5.40 for shipping) for the headphones:

Musician's Friend has the Yamaha LS6 for $299.99:

I think the Breedlove deal is a bit better, but this is a great price for a very popular guitar.

That is a better deal than the Breedlove - they go for $400 or less all of the time. The LS6 sells for $499.

Well, hmm. The C200/SMP sells for around $299, but the C200/SR sells for around $549. I've seen the LS6 selling for $449 at certain points. So, if you are seeing the C200/SR selling for less then $400, then I would agree with you.

They both look good to me, but I pulled the trigger on the Breedlove. :)

p.s. I think this is the LS6 without case, which sells for $479, normally.

Tough call:

Yammie LS 6

or

Silvercreek T-160

As a side note, the T-160 (along with the Breedlove) can use the "SDFRIEND" coupon for $18.00 off ($161.99).

I learned on a $35 guitar. If I had to do it all over again I'd have saved up more money and gotten something of better quality because I quite several times out of frustration because it could not be properly set up and was murder on my hands for the first few years.

Same here. I had the misfortune of learning on a horrible $5.00 piece of crap for the 1st 2-3 years. Then at age 10 I got a $36.00 Sears Silvertone archtop that was sweet.

Not really a great guitar deal - but http://www.goingtoday.com/ has snark tuners going for $8.99 + $5.00 shipping.

GC sells 'em for $29. I just paid $14.99 at a retail outfit some distance north of me - and that's the least expensive I've seen 'em.

Ordering one shipped to your door at that price will at least save you gas (not to mention the possibility of GAS) money driving to the guitar shop.

:idk:

Thought someone might be interested.
