How to get started in a music carrer (singer/piano)?

I am 13 years old and I live in India.I have been told by a lot of people I am an AMAZING singer and piano player. I know i am young but I want to pursue in my singing career. How would I get started at my age that would help me prepare for this career?

Find people where you live who make a living at music. Start with the professors of music at the universities.

Ask them how they do it. In the US there are many ways to earn money playing music......as amatuers, semi-pros, and professionals. You can teach, write, and perform and do any combination.

 

Find a good voice teacher and start some lessons from a professional. Same for piano. Good luck.

Perform in front of audiences every and any chance you get Kurtmazon . Don't even consider money at this point. Perform for free. Building your act and getting experience should be a top priorty.

I agree with answers above. I also suggest you to record your music as best as possible and publish it online. Internet is a great opportunity for musicians to promote their music.

You can start with covers. Just create something brilliant and let it flow. People love to share great stuff online, so your job is just to make music.

There are places like YouTube, where a lot of young (and not-so-young) artists were noticed. Give it a shot.

Keep in mind, though, that the world is full of talented people, and the music business is highly competitive. The path you are considering is difficult, and there will be many times when you will wonder if you have made the right choice.
