Members matthew13l
I've seen you guys referring to "XY" micing... can someone explain this technique for me? Thanks:cool:
Members Watershed
Here's a great site explaining many of the commonly used stereo miking techniques. http://www.dpamicrophones.com/page.php?PID=
Phil O'Keefe
That is a good site... But I wish it had pictures / diagrams of Blumlein and MS stereo up there... I see a lot of questions about those from people too, and it would be nice to have a one stop link that covered everything.
Members BLUElightCory
Schoeps microphones has a great stereo micing reference guide on their site: http://www.schoeps.de/E-2004/overview-stereo-techs.html Hope this helps! Phil O'Keefe
Thanks Blue... that's another good site... but not the one I was thinking of either. A month or two back, I found a really good one where the geometry (relative mic positions) were really well pictured... I'm still looking, and will post a link... when I find it again.
