Members geek_usa
Just purchased one on a whim not too long ago, and got it in the mail today. I wasn't expecting anything great, seeing as how it was an imported CAD microphone. This thing kicks so much ass I can't begin to explain in words. Vocals sound crisp, smooth, warm, and bright all at the same time. It kicked the SM57's ass on a guitar amp I have. It picks up the nuances of my Taylor acoustic guitar without being overly bright (like my MXL990) or overly dull (like the SM57 when aimed at the soundhole). It's a handheld condenser mic, and if you're looking for a hella good condenser mic that won't break the bank, this is the way to go. Cost me $30 including shipping, by the way. Members AudioMaverick
Very interesting microphone. I have 4! I actually bought 5 and gave one to a friend. They were marked down to $63, back in 2001. You will find these things do great as drum kit overheads. I have paired them up with other mics for accoustic guitar (finger board near the body). And, here are a couple samples from a crowd in stereo:CAD-95NIs - Applause - 01 CAD 95NI - Applause - 02 Enjoy the mic. Too bad it is discontinued.
