I turned on a fellow Forumitte to the lush sounds, versatile routing options, of the still relatively cheap Old Tube Reel-To-Reels. About 25 years ago, I bought a *Deionizer Gun*. It really did take the static charge off of the records. Someone managed to break it. I've never found another one.
