I have a Hohner SE 400 professional.

I picked it up 2nd hand about 7 years ago and decided to try and find out some information on it. It looks very similar to the Hohner HS 40. I have tried contacting Hohner direct for information but they only answer mails from the USA.

I wondered if you could help me date it or do you know anything about it?

I was curious on:

Numbers made

Construction details

Where made

Prices

Difference between the SE 400 and HS 40

Do you have any reviews?

Do you know where to get spares?

Is there a company address

It supposedly has Kent Armstrong humbucker Pickups is this true?

Good luck with that. I have what I believe is a Hohner HS-35 (a 335clone;) ) but know very little about it. No s/n, date, nothing.

Hohner has a website, but have never received a response from my inquiries. Another forumite (jerry_picker ?) also was trying to get info from them with no luck.

Here is their link. If you get a response, let me know.

You might also try the search function here, as there have been other Hohner threads.

Great guitars:)

Please help. Thanks in anticipation.

My HS-35 (MIK) had "Sky" brand pickups in it. Sky is a Kent Armstrong-designed Korean-made pickup. These humbuckers in my HS-35 were actually decent, but I wanted the P-90 vibe so I swapped them out.

Do you have any pics of your guitar?

In my experience the Korean-made Hohners are very nice guitars, probably better for fit and finish than Epis at the same price point.
