Members 2FLY
Hi guys, I am upgrading my PC from a Pentium III 667Mhz 256Mb ram to a Pentium IV 3.0Ghz 1024 DDR memory with 250 Gb hard disk. I use Logic. I use sound modules and a sampler to create the music and all audio is vocals. I mix everything with an analog mixer. I'm considering the upgrade to track each sound and mix totally in Logic. All my sound modules and my sampler are connected to my mixer and I would use a master out to track sounds into my Logic. A peer of mine uses creamware and says that tracking each sound in Logic makes it sound 'thin' and that he misses the 'body' he hears in my mixes because I use an analog mixer. MY QUESTION: Can I get more 'body+pro sounding' mixes out of a very powerful computer with Diamond Waves bundle plug-ins than from how I operate now? The mix automation/totall recall/option to save unlimited mixes.. is VERY attractive. I'd like to get some idea's going here - w8ing for some good advice. THANX!!
