Ok, it worked. Most of you will laugh at my setup, but I love simplicity anymore. I only record acoustic instruments and vocals, so this is all I need! Well, till the next mic or pre...hohoho....

The rooms are totally dead too, Imagine the acoustic guitar sound from ELP, "From the beginning", or Floyd "wiSh you were here". Thats what I strive for, usually. I love the dry, crisp, clear, "in your face"acoustic guitar sound. It leaves a clean pallete for processing afterwards, if any.

Relying on any type of room detail for miking, unless its a large throw commercial studio acoustic room, to me is totally bunk, IMO

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

My little basement studio.... notice the Klipsch B2 speakers next to the displays? Those are my "reality" speakers for spot checks during mixing. There's a Sony consumer sub under the console for the Monitor 1's and a multimedia sub inside the console for the Klipsch's. Totally different sound. P.S. Halle wants to get busy so often I can't get any work done!:D
