Members rohr28 Posted April 8, 2011 Members Posted April 8, 2011 We are trying to get into some venues that are asking for an EPK. How are you guys setting yours up?
Members richardmac Posted April 8, 2011 Members Posted April 8, 2011 Ha ha ha! We don't ACTUALLY talk about the Music Biz here! We just BITCH about it! Ha ha ha! Um, what I've seen done a lot is that a band will have their own dot com website and that's where they have their EPK. IMHO I think that looks the most professional. I have my own site but haven't put up any type of press kit on it yet, due to apathy and laziness, but it's on my to do list. And of course some folks use SonicBids because some events require it. SonicBids is in the process of changing their fee structure so they might be worth a glance.
Members mrhyped Posted April 8, 2011 Members Posted April 8, 2011 ReverbNation offers an electronic press kit builder and host service. I think it's a payed service though?
Members Rudolf von Hagenwil Posted April 8, 2011 Members Posted April 8, 2011 They just ask for an EPK to seperate the fools from the bands who know how to make such a chart.

Members flatfinger Posted April 8, 2011 Members Posted April 8, 2011 I enjoy listening to the inevitable demise of my music career. Glad to see a member of the forum with some perspective!!
Moderators daddymack Posted April 8, 2011 Moderators Posted April 8, 2011 I originally did ours as a PowerPoint presentation, since it could be printed as pages, or viewed on a PC.
