Phil O'Keefe
I'm a big ADAM fan. I've also got a pair of modded JBL 4412's, which are cool, but if I had to pick one or the other, I'd pick my S3-A's, followed by my A7's. I have not heard anything for a grand or less that I liked better than the A7's. YMMV.
Members where02190
Haven't heard the 6328P's but they'll be prying my SLR28P's out of my cold dead hands. The most amazingly accurate monitors under $10K I've ever used.
Members kempo
thanks for the responses, how about 8" against 6,5" as nearfield? I have mirage i90s (I think they are 5,25") with some power-amp, and I am hoping things will get better with active speakers, but there are so many to choose from. Thanks in advance! Phil O'Keefe
The 6.5" drivers in the A7's do remarkably well in terms of LF response. I don't find them to be as "bass shy" as a lot of smaller nearfields.
Members gtrbass
I have the A7's with the Sub 8. I would not call the A7's by themselves bass shy. The sub is nice for critical listening when mixing but not a must have if you are on a budget. Love me them ADAM's.
