Members thom
What'd it cost me? The looks of a guitar isn't priority for me, but the guitar I'm thinking of buying is frikkin' purple:rolleyes: The neck and body are all mahogany, it's a n sg style electric. Would it cost me less if I stripped the paint myself? And do pro's usually charge depending on the particular color and type of paint? If the wood looks good I'd like a 'natural' look, just transparant laquer to show the dark mahogany. Or maybe I'd go for black, but I'd rather have an unfinished neck. I never got how people could stand the sticky necks on gibsons. I don't suppose it'd be a good idea to try and refinish the guitar myself? I'm confident enough to paint the purple finish myself, but I have zero experience with re-painting a guitar body, let alone a neck... Gimme some advice please. Cheers. Members thom
Thanks for the replies. No binding, not on the neck nor on the body. Edit: Slightly OT, but if anyone here can tell me what a fair price would be for a '90s Gibson SG Jr(non-orig. finish, otherwhise ok), I'd really appreciate it. Cheers.
