Moderators Lee Knight Posted July 17, 2007 Moderators Share Posted July 17, 2007 An old drummer buddy has the old classic D12 kick drum mic. Not the D112 egg shaped basketball emulator, but the real deal. And it's stopped working. He's moving on to a D6 and said if I could get it working I could have it. And I want it, they sound great. We haven't been able to identify any obvious reasons why it's dead after opening it up for a look. Does anyone know of a good mic repair? I'm in San Diego so LA's fine. As is anywhere US I guess, as I could always ship. Phil and Ken, you're both near me, any referrals? ???

I called and left a message but haven't received a return and figured this wouldn't be high on their list. I'll try again. Thanks Kendrix... Members Tim Mayock
Hi Lee,I have a D12e that is not working properly. I was told that AKG no longer stocks parts for this mic. Mine was on loan to me and I dropped it. I wish i could fix it but it will not be cheap if it is do-able
