Hey guys. I just want some info on this Kent guitar. My friend is loning it to me to "try out" and see if I like it and possibly buy it off him. Its a es-335 copy made in japan and ive been told, made in 1964. The headstocks all screwed up because my friend bought it off ebay and the seller painted over it to pass it off as a gibson. My friend took off the paint to reveal it being a Kent. My friend said he'd sell it to me for a hundred bucks. Do you think its worth it? should i buy it? Give me some more info if you can, thanks

OF.. Grab it.. its worth more than $100.. but I can tell you this.. most early-mid 60's MIJ knock offs were horribly bad playing and sounding guitars... Yamaha had a few oddball looking guitars that were good quality, but these are rare...It wasn't until the 70's when Japan started turning out good quality replicas... I would grab it, and turn it around for $200-250... I had a Univox 335 clone.. dreadful.. I also had a couple of Kents too... pyuck..... bob
