Moderators Lee Knight Posted December 2, 2008 Moderators Share Posted December 2, 2008 My posting about using the Tranzport got me thinking. There really isn't a way to record enable a group in Pro Tools is there? If there was, it'd be easy to use the Tranzport this way. As it stands, I've never been able to get it to happen. Anyone know? The object: To click a single channel's R enable button and have the entire group that channel is a member of go into record enable. Anyone? Members UstadKhanAli
I don't know. This seems so logical, there's got to be a way to do this.

Moderators Lee Knight Posted December 3, 2008 Author Moderators Share Posted December 3, 2008 Nicely done Zooey! So on the Mac: Select the range of tracks you want enabled Option+Shift-Click Record Enable. I just tried it and it works. I kept thinking Groups but that's not it. It's multiple selection and the key combo above. Thank you!
Members Zooey
No problem. Once I saw the answer, it seemed kind of obvious. Option+Shift+Click will apply the same action to selected tracks (not just record arm, but just about anything else). It's not as cool and as elegant as record-enabling a group with a single click, though.
