Members richardmac Posted July 5, 2010 Members Posted July 5, 2010 The last time I was here, the whole site had this godawful stinky new layout that made no sense and was hard to read. Then the old look came back but the posts were all from the past. Now there appears to be no mention of the new layout. So... what happened? Officially or unofficially. I haven't posted in forever. Haven't really been back. So I might be reopening an old wound with this question. Can't help it. I'm the curious type.

HC is retooling, but this time they are listening to the front line (the mods/Admins now have input, not just testing access). Traffic fell off so badly with the JiveSoft cut-in, they realized too late what they had done. They are still developing the Jivesoft front end, but we have convinced them that we should move up to vBulletin 4, which is a vast improvement over where we are now (non-working search, lack of security/anti-spam, etc.). Oddly enough, vB4 looks alot like the Jive interface...go figure. We were fortunate to get some key MF IT people assigned to work with us, so things will hopefully not be as dicey on the next attempt, which is still pending...and no, they have not set any firm dates yet.
