Members scapier
Thinking of getting one, anyone have any opinions about them? Regards, Spencer
Phil O'Keefe
Never even heard of them. Are they supposedly nice? Do you have a link to their site? My desk is from Sound Construction & Supply. I like it quite a bit. It's certainly been solid and trouble-free.
Members scapier
Hey Phil, I saw this desk on sweetwater, and it looks pretty cool: http://www.malonedesignworks.com/ They say they'll do a desk for my command 8 instead of the euphonix stuff. Just haven't heard back as to price and shipping.....
Phil O'Keefe
I would imagine pricing would be similar - a lot of those desks can be fairly easily modified without too much additional labor. I have no idea what shipping would run, but my desk's pretty heavy - I can't imagine shipping it would be cheap. I bought mine (slightly used) locally, so that wasn't an issue for me. That does look like a pretty slick design.
Members scapier
Ended up buying an Argosy desk, a modification of their 50 series workstation DB8 model, but smaller. They were very nice to work with! I'll get pictures uploaded when it arrives in early July. Spencer

Members scapier
Well here's my new desk as promised. Still a bit of tweaking to do but sure do like it! Probably the smallest thing they've ever made....
Members scapier
I'll try that again....
Phil O'Keefe
Wow, that is smaller than I was expecting - but really nice! How do you like it so far Spencer?
Members scapier
Loving it. it's pretty small, yes, but the thing is awesome. Very well designed, and well built. Service was excellent. The shipping packaging was an art form in itself. What this does for me is put everything it it's right place, in a space efficient way, and also communicates to my clients that, while we may be working in the third bedroom of my house, I am NOT a hobbyist. Argosy were great to deal with and this unit cost $1598 which is pretty decent I think.
