Apogee Jam Demo: Recording Without Electricity

Tropical storm Lee came through my area this past weekend and, as expected, knocked out the power for a few hours. I used this opportunity to mess around with the Apogee Jam adapter, which is powered by the 30 pin connector on apple products (iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch). After recording 3 tracks and coming up with a drum loop in Reactable the power came back on and I kind of forgot it all. Well, the next night my sister-in-law went into labor, so I took the iPad with me to the hospital and used those clips to make this demo. I put it on top of a few weather vids I shot during/after the storm and some test clips I made while trying out some new video apps. All in all, I'd say the Apogee Jam is an amazing tool to have and I highly recommend it over the cheaper options that go through the headphone jack.

PS

All the video was shot and edited on my iPhone 4. In fact, this whole "production" was put together with only my iPad (GarageBand) & iPhone (video apps/iMovie/uploading to YouTube).
