Members schecterc1lh
I have logic express 8 and reason 4.0, and all i am wanting to do is use the sounds off of reason to record into logic. I have done the rewire like normal, but that sends all of the info from reason, which messes up the tempo and all of the logic project. Is there a way to simply record the reason patch without having to fix all of those issues?
Members mike.sartori
You should have it set up so reason is the rewire slave, and it take all tempo info FROM logic. In logic, you will make an external software instrument track for whichever reason unit you want to use, like "combinator 1", and put all your midi info IN LOGIC. Then you can have the outputs from the reason patch-bay set up on auxiliary tracks, send each or all of them to buses, and set up record-enable audio tracks with the bus as the input. This article should get you started: http://audio.tutsplus.com/tutorials/mixing-mastering/how-to-rewire-individual-reason-instruments-into-logic-pro/
