Members indigo_dave
I have an Avalon AD2022 I bought 4 years ago locally off craigslist. It's been virtually unused. I want to sell it now. Before listing it I want to test it. I don't have a computer recording interface (only a multitrack "handheld" recorder). My question: Is plugging a mic into each channel and hearing a signal through the headphones output a sufficient test ? Thanks for insights, David
Members gubu
No. Plug the outputs of the Avalon into the inputs of the handheld recorder, and make sure the meters on both are reading around the same ballpark. Monitor after the recorder, if possible (headphone jack on the recorder?) to check for any distortion/crapouts etc.
