Members Lee Flier Posted August 11, 2005 Members Posted August 11, 2005 LOL... yeah, that's been ME this whole week. I had a programming deadline and ran into a show stopping problem that I just could NOT track down and at one point was sitting glassy-eyed in front of the screen at 3 AM ready to shoot myself. I finally got it straightened out last night! I will have to send that animation to my client, he'll appreciate it.
Members Shars Posted August 11, 2005 Members Posted August 11, 2005 LOL thats me to! For 2 whole weeks now and no end in sight!
Moderators Lee Knight Posted August 11, 2005 Moderators Posted August 11, 2005 Oh God! I was laughing from the start... and then it went south! Yes... that's me every day. I drink too much coffee at work and when something goes wrong... whhhaaa #@$^%&!!!! Actually I slam my mouse down HARD, repeatedly on my desk. It's a lot less bloody. Speaking of which, I need a new mouse.
Members Spencer Crewe Posted August 12, 2005 Members Posted August 12, 2005 Damn, that's a funny find, Ryst. I can't ay that I feel that way very often. But man, there are times......... Cheers!Spencer
Members Tedster Posted August 12, 2005 Members Posted August 12, 2005 I'm right in the middle of writing an aviation forecast for the western Atlantic, Caribbean, and Gulf of Mexico. You bet I feel that way...especially with Tropical Storm Irene out there.
Members Ernest Buckley Posted August 13, 2005 Members Posted August 13, 2005 I learned my lesson a while ago... I was so pissed over a program not working that I slammed the keyboard. That didn`t do anything until it fell on the floor and literally exploded. All of the letters popped out. After I realized my frustration just caused more as I had sat there, trying to remember where each letter went for about 10 minutes. Eventually I called my mom and asked her where letters went. She was a secretary. Lesson: Its better to scream. Oddly enough, though the keyboard was not the problem, (the software was) the keyboard was the closest I could come to the actual program. It was a sad attempt of trying to seek revenge on something untouchable. Knowing software can do this to us just irks me and theres no revenge!

Members bp Posted August 13, 2005 Members Posted August 13, 2005 Ryst, you should post that on the political forum. I suspect that is close to reality for many posters there.
Members blue2blue Posted August 14, 2005 Members Posted August 14, 2005 Yeah... at first I was thinking the universal computer user there was involved in a flamewar... but then I realized he seemed actually to be trying harder and harder to get something done... but the verbiage is often the same. Good thing there wasn't an audio track on the ani. (Not possible with a gif, of course.) Once, trapped in the no man's vector of a, shall we say, extravagantly quirky dev environment design and an extraordinarily confused and ultimately contradictory and confusing help/documentation system (see if you can guess which Redmond, WA, software company was responsible) I slammed my fist down so hard on my cumputer carel that not only the top level -- with my rather large CRT -- but the 'keyboard level' with my MS Natural keyboard and my four figure ADAT BRC (don't make me think about how much I paid, please) collapsed downward, finally coming to rest on my printer at floor level. I actually laughed.
Members steadyb Posted August 14, 2005 Members Posted August 14, 2005 I used to feel that way... then I switched from a PC to a Mac...
Members MorePaul Posted August 14, 2005 Members Posted August 14, 2005 I started feeling that way when the Woz touch left that house
Members kptkarl Posted August 14, 2005 Members Posted August 14, 2005 Any time technology interferes and consumes more time than the time savings it should provide due to basic laws technology should be advanced enough to overcome.

Members phaeton Posted August 15, 2005 Members Posted August 15, 2005 Does anyone else ever feel this way??? About a computer? No. I dunno how y'all have so many computer problems all the time. I must be lucky, or something.
