Members Ryst Posted August 15, 2005 Members Posted August 15, 2005 Any suggestions on where I can get some lights for a decent light set-up for my live show? I saw a band who's music was very Cure meets Iggy Pop and they had a light show that consisted of cheap Home Depot lights. But it looked great. What I need is mood lights. Blue, red, dark stuff to fit the music. Any suggestions? BTW, I currently don't know {censored}e about lights.
Members Anderton Posted August 15, 2005 Members Posted August 15, 2005 Might as well start here... http://www.musiciansfriend.com/srs7/g=dj/search?c=5003&d=tn&fc=0&c_dc=1 They have all kinds of lighting stuff.
Members Ani Posted August 15, 2005 Members Posted August 15, 2005 I'll DITTO Craig on checking MF. I've been down to their clearance center here in K.C. and they have had some incredible deals on lights.... nice ones too.
Members Ryst Posted August 16, 2005 Author Members Posted August 16, 2005 Thanks Craig and Ani. So now I know where to buy some lights but I still don't know other thins. For instance, would they "look" better coming from the ground up or from the top down? I am not a very visual person so I don't know how to make them look the way I want them to.
