Great thread! I've written down some to check out. My favorites are Brian McKnight - Music in High Places and Amanda Marshall - Live at the Corona Theatre. My current favorite instructional music DVD is Thomas Lang - Creative Control.

), and Bela Fleck...what can you say? Amazing guy!

Especially love seeing him live with the Flecktones.

I have a double DVD set of Mike Oldfield performing Tubular Bells 2 at Edinburgh castle, and TB 3 in London - you will find it's still available ;)

As far as my faves:

Springsteen and the E Street Band - Live in NY

Cyndi Lauper Live (released last year)

Too many to decide... Beatles Anthology, Gimme Shelter, the Rock'n'Roll Circus, Spinal Tap, Concert for George, the Kids Are Alright, A Hard Day's Night... and yeah, that Zep DVD doesn't suck. :D

The Finns Brothers. The Bros at their best with an amazing band. Beautiful sound. Edible Flowers is delicious...

The premise is... let's put together a show in a weekend. You see the meetings, rehearsals, then the show. Not in that order, but you get the idea. Really good.

And... Neil's son's band play. They're in their early teens and play very well. They cover Split Endz with... Eddie Veder singing? Sounds weird but it works. It turns out Veder is a huge Split Endz/Crowded House fan.

and Tina Turner and the Ikettes in outrageously short skirts doing synchronized burlesque moves. Tina is in top form vocally too!

King Crimson-Eyes Wide Open-not as essential as Deja Vroom, but if you want more Crimson this is some very good stuff. It features Fripp and Belew with the rhythm section of Gunn and Mastellato.

My fav is probably 'The Dance' by Fleetwood Mac. So much emotion flying around on that stage and an absolutely perfect performance.

The Brian Setzer Orchestra live in Japan is the one that'll make you smile for days though.

I really like Pat Benatar and Neil Geraldo live and the Heart, Alive in Seatle dvds too.

Yeah, Concert for George had some emotion flying around the stage, but please dear God, don't let Tom Petty sing George songs again ever! (I like him on his stuff).

The DVD has a lot of "extra stuff" on it. If you enjoyed the broadcast, you might still want to get the DVD. :)

Boosh, I think you're gonna dig it buddy. ;)
