Members Geoff Grace Posted August 28, 2005 Members Posted August 28, 2005 Where can we Mac users go to legally download a song when the iTunes Music Store doesn't have what we're looking for? (Tower Records and Wal-Mart, for example, are PC only.) Thanks. Best, Geoff
Members blue2blue Posted August 28, 2005 Members Posted August 28, 2005 Hey, Geoff, not sure if this will do the whole trick, but the Windows Media Player is available for OS X. I glanced over the info sheet for it and it looks pretty complete -- so I imagine it supports the DRM management they use on WMAs purchased from the other major online stores. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/software/Macintosh/osx/default.aspx (Now, I've sort of imagined they all have more or less similar content, but I don't really know. I don't buy many files theses days, preferring to simply subscribe to MusicMatch On Demand for $5 a month and just stream them. Why store them if I don't have to? Unfortunately, MMOD definitely is Windows only, as far as I know, since it uses MusicMatch Jukebox 9 or 10 as its mandatory host.)
