Members Not Serial Posted August 29, 2005 Members Posted August 29, 2005 i just showed up to work. i worked 25 hours this weekend. we are all tired. BUT... theres a note on the desk. next to the note is a photocopy of a reciept. this is a reciept for 4 30' mic cables, $72. my signature is on the bottom. i bought these cables on 7/05/05. i know this, because on the photocopy of the reciept with my name on it there is a date, 7/05/05. i turned in the reciept on 7/06/05. I TURNED IN THE RECIEPT ON 7/06/05. this is important. SO, i did not photocopy this reciept. it was photocopied after i turned it in. someone else who had the reciept photocopied it. i did not. i had already turned it in. turned it in to somebody else who photocopied the reciept, because THEY had the reciept that i did not have because i had turned it in already, in fact i turned in the receipt on 7/06/05. what does the note next to the recipt that i turned in, somebody else had and photocopied - say? your not gonna beleive this.... the note next to the recipt with my signature on it that i turned in on 7/06/05 for a purchase i made on 7/05/05 says... "do you know where this receipt is?" am i the only one not grasping the lack of logic in this question? i mean i cannot get over it. WHY THE HECK WOULD I KNOW WHAT SOMEBODY ELSE DID WITH THE RECEIPT I TURNED IN ON 7/06/05?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! WELL?
Members blue2blue Posted August 29, 2005 Members Posted August 29, 2005 It's where all my missing socks are.
Members TheWewus Posted August 29, 2005 Members Posted August 29, 2005 Why are you hiding the reciept?
Moderators Lee Knight Posted August 30, 2005 Moderators Posted August 30, 2005 In the business world ... I've learded to cover my ass. There is ALWAYS someome willing to to put put my ass on the spit until it burns. Sad butt true.
Phil O'Keefe Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Did the person in question sign the note? If so, I'd contact them and tell them I turned in the ORIGINAL reciept on the 6th... and that I have no idea who photocopied it or what happened to the original after I turned it in. Oh, and I'd make a copy of the copy (if you didn't already make / keep a copy of the original for your personal records) and then contact accounting about all of it. Someone screwed up - but it wasn't you. I'd deal with it before someone starts thinking that it was you that screwed up.
Members Spencer Crewe Posted August 30, 2005 Members Posted August 30, 2005 ...what Phil said: whatever happened did so after it passed through your hands. See to it that "they" know that, too. Cheers!Spencer
Members blackpig Posted August 30, 2005 Members Posted August 30, 2005 Maybe I'm missing something here, but how did they make the photocopy if they, ummm, didn't have the receipt?
Members phaeton Posted August 30, 2005 Members Posted August 30, 2005 is the "do you know where is this receipt" question directed at you? Oh yeah, and what Phil said. And what blackpig said too.
Members daklander Posted August 30, 2005 Members Posted August 30, 2005 I have to admit it. I time jumped and stole the original from you, photo copied it and returned it to you before you lost it and claim to have turned it in.I know that's true and so do you. It'll probably happen again because I left several copies around with different people.
Members TheWewus Posted August 30, 2005 Members Posted August 30, 2005 I'm pretty sure the original receipt is in your pocket. I suggest you come clean and hope for the best.
Members nursers Posted August 31, 2005 Members Posted August 31, 2005 Is this the same receipt you posted to me last week?
Members The Soundman Posted September 1, 2005 Members Posted September 1, 2005 The correct answer is "No. have you looked on the photocopier?"What do I win?
