Members The Soundman Posted September 1, 2005 Members Posted September 1, 2005 Has anybody read a review of a live concert of a major label recording artist lately? The ones I have seen lately in even the most "underground" mags make me believe the reviewers are more clueless than ever. I don't even go to live "concerts" much anymore, but I know that the artists use a lot of pre- recorded tracks, and midi- implemented support. Why don't modern music critics get this?
Moderators Lee Knight Posted September 1, 2005 Moderators Posted September 1, 2005 I saw Green Day on tv playing Blvd. of Broken Dreams. They sounded great. They had a supplimental guitarist and they were playing to a tape. Fine... the thobbing looped guitar is a good candidate for this... but they also had the sliding octave guitar theme on tape. COME ON Boys... they're playing great. Why not have the 2nd guitar play such an important element???
