Members onelife
It's a "Pismo" - 500MHz G3 PowerBook with 512Mb RAM and an IBM 40Gb HD I'm running OSX 10.2.8 and, at the moment, I only use it for iTunes with an iPod Shuffle and a bit of two track work with Audacity. I do connect to a Win2k server to share files with other computers. I plan to get an Audio/MIDI interface and use it for MIDI sequencing and, with better software, some more editing. It seems to be taking longer to start up and the hard drive churns like a Windows box that needs to be defregged. Is there something I can do to speed things up? Are there Extensions I don't need? Is it looking for the Network? Can you defrag a Mac HD? Should I upgrade the OS? Any help would be appreceated. Thanks in advance.
