This is absolutely the main piece of the formula, because without this, the rest has no vehicle! b) Record the song(s) perfectly! c) Be talented enough to perform flawlessly every time! d) Have the best producer on the planet! e) Be in the right place at the right time! Not necessary, especially with the wide variety of studio tricks available today. c) Be talented enough to perform flawlessly every time! Not necessary, a lot of artists use tape backing. d) Have the best producer on the planet! By "best" you mean "trendiest", right? e) Be in the right place at the right time! This is the second most importan part of the formula! Very important. f) Be attractive to the opposite sex! Very important, unless you are going for the Susan Boyle angle. So then again, maybe not.
