Members ArKay
I've been GASsing for this one for more than a year. It's not easy to get hold of it over here in Europe since there are no Jay Turser dealers. I thought I had gotten lucky when I had found one on eBay UK last year, but it had a problem with the truss rod so I had to send it back. Anyway, this one turned up on eBay Germany last week Poor guy had imported it from the US for $328 (value + p&p + customs)... I won it for $104. I nearly feel bad since I was willing to pay twice as much for it, but no one else was interested. Sometimes you do get lucky

Members DenverDave
Beautiful guitar! And that is a killer price anywhere - much less overseas! I've got the same model (different color) and really like it. You take way better pictures than I do though... Congrats - they are really nice guitars! Let me know what you think of the stock pups... Members ArKay
Congrats - they are really nice guitars! Let me know what you think of the stock pups... Thanks JT is pretty much unknown here which is good for me. It's my 2nd JT tele (I've also got a Paisley model). They did a great job on this one, the Paisley is nice and all, but I like this finished neck a lot better. I like the pickups. The neck pup is pretty bright, like it should be and the humbucker has a full, warm tone. I was considering putting a splittable hb in the neck position (GFS Dream 180 or similar), but I think that can wait.
Members bluefoot
you know its is about actually about the sweetest looking tele I have seen...what is the material? for that price do you get solid wood or some laminated wood? what are the specs....looks so sweet... Members fenderguitar
I have that same guitar in a natural finish. The bridge pickup sounds pretty good but I think the neck pickup is dark and muddy.

That's what I thought when I first saw it, damn pretty Usually retails for $200 in the US, but it seems that you can get them for $150. Judging by the grain it appears to be basswood. JT doesn't spec the woods, but MusicLandCentral writes that it has a maple top. http://store.musiclandcentral.net/jaytudecutew.html

Members blueshawk1
Happy NGD! I've would be gassing for one of their thinline style teles, but they only come with rosewood fretboards. I've looked at these too, I love the double binding. Sweet looking guitar - Enjoy!

I believe the body is solid alder with a (thin) flamed maple top. The tuners, usually pretty crappy at this price level, are very usable. My only gripe is that the bridge is not compatible with standard Fender style bridges, but for the price I can more than live with that..

I bought mine from a fairly reputable music store and they said the body was solid alder - so I would tend to agree with them. I may check next time I change strings... Members patbateman
I have a lefty in tobacco sunburst on the way. I can't wait to get it after seeing yours. You got a steal. I had to pay 'full' price, but did so glady. There is good wood in those Tursers.

I agrre, the pickguards they use on those are yech. I would replace it with a pearloid or black one.
