Members Fendercaster
Yesterday, it was "After the Gold Rush". Today, I was listening to "Harvest".The song "Words" - what time signature is this written in? Sadly, I don't read music, and this one threw me.It seems that the song is basically in 3/4 time, but not really. If you count, part of the song is 1-2-3 1-2-3 1-2 1-2-3, and another part , it's 1-2-3 1-2-3 1-2-3 1-2 1-2-3.It doesn't seem that it would be a hard rhythm to play, I was just wondering how it would be charted, or what signature it"s in?Thanks for any comments. Members phaeton
I don't know the answer (don't have the opportunity to sit down with it), but I've had the song "Words" stuck in my head for about 5 hours now. Great tune..
Members Tedster
I think (just a guess, haven't heard it in a long time) but the intro is in alternating measures of 3/4 and 4/4...and the verse is in 4/4 with odd accents on... ONE and two AND three and four and Edit...I think the intro is 5/4 now that I played it in me head...

Members Tedster
It probably didn't include the intro. The intro is where it's weird, and it's either 5/4 or alternating 3/4 and 2/4...
Members Caryat
It’s 6/8, 5/8 alternating throughout the intro. The rest is 4/4.
