Members blackpig
My laptop (colloquially known by Mrs Blackpig as my pornograph) needs a new keyboard I can get the keyboard from the UK and would rather put it in myself than send it to the Republic Of Outer Zongo and wait for ages Does anyone here know how to get the keyboard out of a Fujitsu Siemans Amilo D notebook? Members AudioMaverick
Not that particular laptop. Generally, you need to remove the screws on the bottom side of the laptop that are aligned with the keyboard. They keep it in place. If you get them all, the keyboard should lift up (space bar side first). Then, *carefully* disconnect the flexible circuit board that connects to the main board. The lock piece that keeps it in the socket is very fragile. Don't lift it more than the thickness of your thumb nail. Good luck...
