Tokai Les Pauls: differences between Japanese and Chinese versions

OK, I'm in the UK and I'm considering getting a Les Paul of some description. I've tried a few of the Epiphones (which go for about

My Tokai's. (Les Paul and Flying V) are Korean made, and in my opinion are just as good in any Gibson I have played as far as tone aned playability, have never seen any chinese ones though

i think the japanese ones are quite a bit nicer.

Would I be right in thinking that the Korean made ones have a better reputation/resale value than the Chinese ones?

Don't forget to have a butchers at Greco. The ones made in the 80's and 90's at the Japanese Fuji-Gen factory are Les Paul Replicas, not mere copies and they are superb instruments.
