Members Saturday
i'm planning on buying and old korean squier for modding with a maple neck. finally found it.. but it's a fat strat. i prefer a single coil in the bridge.it's just changing the pickguard, adding the new bridge pickup and i'm good to go?any problem with this? Members Burgess
That oughta do the trick. ...well, check out the pots, make sure they're 250K. Other than that I can't think of anything else.
Members Daveydude
Those pup routes in the body from the factory should accept both configurations. You might have to make some new screw holes to match the new pattern.
Members xStonr
If it can accept a humbucker in the bridge, then no problem putting in a single. I did that to my MIM fat Strat. I got a new pickguard and pickups and was ready to go.
Members Small Stone
Precisely something I want to do, except it's a cheap Samick. Thanks! But what happens if the 250k pot remains, will my guitar explode Ace Frehley-style?
