Members trill
The Viking got an Editor's Pick Award from Guitar Player. I haven't heard too much noise about any of them other than that, but the specs and $$$ seem right.

Members rocknhard
how is the natick one? never been It is pretty much where I do all my "hands-on" shopping. As with most stores, you have to pick your times (kids can be playing loud). However they have an excellent selection of electric/acoustic guitars and accessories. There is a nice room in the back to play some great vintage acoustics. Sales are pretty good and staff is helpful.

Members Moltisanti
try out a Peerless before you pull the trigger on a Hagstrom
Members Super Bass
Them Swedes are nice, yah! Yup. Very nice. I played with a guitarist recently who had a SuperSwede, it was very bright though and sounded kinda Fenderish.
Members Damon67
I've been hearing nothing but good things on the Hagstroms and I've been wanting a Viking Deluxe. The problem is I can't find a dealer anywhere near me that has one for me to try. It's not like I live in a tiny town either. So that would be my "bad" and as for "ugly", they all look quite nice to me.

Members rocknhard
...maybe because Super Swedes are long scale thanks guys, the long scale is pretty much why I want one - I'm pretty much a Fender player.
Members Cliff Fiscal
thanks guys, the long scale is pretty much why I want one - I'm pretty much a Fender player. Same here. I've owned plenty of 24.75 guitars over the years, and never bonded with them.

I'll definitely play them (my LP, Hammer) - but my #1 is by far the Fenders - I'll have to give a review after I try one.

Oh yeah, I still have a Gibson LP DC Faded and a Jay turset JT-133 that are okay....but I still prefer the snappy fender scale. I can't wait to hear your thoughts! Members twisty571
I just got mine a couple days ago, sweet guitar IMO. Way better than my old Squier;) I haven't had a lot of guitars or played long,I took lessons in high school (mid 80's) & had a Kramer then. The finish is amazing,my pics blow & my amp hasn't come yet so as for sound all I have is my RP100a and i won't judge it thru that. The sound clips on the site sound terrific! Mine has 2 custom Alnico 60's,same as the deluxe. I will probably end up buying a Swede next,I almost bought a F301 but like the Mahogany Body & set neck on mine so I got it. http://www.hagstromguitars.com/index.html
Members twisty571
a little more history is they use to import Gibson's in the 50's and then he decided to make guitars(they already made many other top quality instruments) and by the early 60's the Swede and others were produced. So it's not like his designs are new cheap crap but probably 1 of the better copies. I haven't had a Tokia or Agile or played 1,same with the Hagstrom since I don't have a local store that carries them, heck I'm luck to find a Gibson or Epihpone.Mainly Ibanez or Fender,Bc Rich at the stores here. http://www.albinhagstrom.se/
