Music agencies for freelance work?

What's up ya'll?

 

I've dealt with agencies before working for cruise lines, but I was wondering if there was any sort of agency that takes independent musicians such as my self and places them in like wedding bands, or private function band situations? I'm about to move to NYC and i'd like to try and get my foot in the door right off the bat with playing.

Look for musician referral services. Most major cities have them and these days many are online.
