Members sahlomonic
What's the difference between "cream" vs "parchment"? I'm talking about color for knobs/pickup covers/switches/etc. Pics I've found from online dealers do no justice. Show me some of your pics to clarify the color difference please! Members Mighty Coogna!
The colors vary dealer by dealer. But generally cream is a sort of banana color, a very light yellow hue. Parchment is off-white. Like Eggshell in house paint terms. Mint is greenish hues.

The difference is 17. I kid. Okay, seriously. One is the color of cream, while the other is the color of parchment. If you consider both colors to be "kinda white", you are probably an ordinary male. Don't worry about it too much, just listen to your wife/girlfriend when she tells you that you can't wear a certain pair of socks with a certain outfit, even if it looks perfectly okay to you. Members sahlomonic
lol - great responses guys. The reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to pick a color set for my relic'd ESP strat. The cream set I bought a few weeks ago is too bold, so I'm looking for an in-between color of "cream" and the standard "white" - so "parchment" is what I'm looking for. Members flummox
parchment is whiter than cream, but darker than white.

Install the cream hardware you have, and throw it in the pond. A couple days there, followed by a good rub of bacon, and you're all set.

Members tinwhisker
... Like Eggshell in house paint terms. Eggshell is usually a description for a paint having low sheen finish, not a color description.
Members Kid Klash
Cream is... well... creamy or buttery looking, while parchment is slighly off-white looking. Here's a set of cream pup covers, knobs and trem knob, compared to the pure white pick guard :
Members HanSolo
Cream - think of an Epi LP pickguard. The parchment is a very light beight. If you don't have it next to white, you would think it's white.
