I'm over 6 minutes into the interview.

 

I find no evidence of him being stoned or in any other way problematic.

 

Unless something changes in the remaining time of the interview, I think this link was posted as a method of saying, "look at my site! I needz your traffic!"

 

I think it is a good interview. I think he states some important points. But the way it was presented here, "Hey this guy is stoned and messing us all up! come look!" was just a way to drive traffic.

Jimmy Iovine reminds me of people who post on this forum. He has alot of good ideas but does not know what the future of this business will be.

it has none. apart from live performance, paypal links on artist websites and licensing tie ins, the commercial music era is over.

I'm not so sure. It may seem that way because so many people are in it who are not making a dime but that is a fairly recent phenomenon. It has only been in the past 15 years that everyone and their dog has been able to make and distribute CDs/mp3s. But the top of the heap is still making money as they always have.
