Members eamonnconnor
Hello all, I just purchased an Ibanez MMM1 mike mushok baritone guitar. It is tuned B-B (B E A D F# E). Does anyone know of a chord chart for this tuning? If so it would be extremely helpful. Thanks, Eamonn Connor
Members linthat22
Chord shapes would be the same, it's just a lower tuning. If you have to know the chord name then that's beyond my expertise.
Members Hard Truth
The chord shapes are played the same but they are a fourth lower on the baritone. So if you play the chord shape that is an "E" on a standard guitar it would be a "B" on the baritone. You should memorize the circle of fifths and transposing will come easy since a fourth below is the same as a fifth above. Just memorize this: a fifth above A is Ea fifth above B is F#and so on (figure out the rest yourself)
Members guitarcapo
E is B A is E D is A Basically you'll have to transpose everything. Or give up and just capo at the 5th fret. That would fix things.
