These were a brief run around 2000. Basically an SG-style body but a bit larger, twin DualRail humbuckers, 5-position rotary selector, rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, clear cherry finish. No problems at all, plays well and sounds great, I just need to thin out the herd a bit.

Hardshell Epiphone case included, in very good condition.

Price is firm, NO NEGOTIATIONS. This is a bass that's hard to find and other than one small chip in the finish on the headstock (visible in the picture) it's in great condition, minimal belt buckle wear and gigged very lightly, so I'm not willing to lower the price.

And while part of me wants to hold on to it forever, I also would like to have something I would get more use out of. The instrument is in near-mint condition, with some very minor corrosion on the bridge, tuning keys, and controls. If you're considering buying this, you probably already know how amazing the L-1000 really is.

My ideal trade would be for a pre'94 G&L Legacy with a maple fingerboard. As for cash, make me an offer and we'll see.

Famed hair band bassist Rudy Sarzo (Ozzie, Whitesnake, Quiet Riot, etc) collaborated with Washburn to come up with the Rudy Sarzo signature bass line. This one is the rarest of the bunch ( Set neck, red/white, the Bizarro bridge and control layout) and has become quite a collectible item.

The fretboard is sealed ebony. Washburn soapbars and active electronics. 34" scale, 19mm spacing at the bridge. It's light for its size, approx 9#.

The tail strap button was moved to the lower bout. No neck dive that way and the bass hangs comfortably.

The pictures show the white areas a bit more yellowish then it actually is, although it has taken on a more "aged" look over the years. Overall condition is very good considering it's 25 years old and has been played. Just one small ding, and a bit of worn paint in a heel crease. Truss rod works. Frets/fingerboard/neck are fine. With the OHSC.

Current pricing on these is over $1k. Primarily looking for guitar trades, or part trades. Only bass equipment I'm still looking for is a Peavey Cirrus 5 (as a part trade).

This bass is VERY articulate and punchy and cuts thru the mix very easily.

I use this bass exclusively for CLEAN punchy sounding songs and also some slap (it is GREAT FOR SLAP because it is the only 6-string bass that has FULL, VERY WIDE 19mm string spacing at the bridge).

Also has the upgraded CUSTOM WOUND Reed James pickups (not the standard Kent Armstrong pickups that normally came with the bass).

Cosmetic condition: 9.5 out of 10. No scratches, dings, etc.

The only issue I would mention is one of the pots (the stacked pot) has regions where the bottom half pot does not seem to alter the tone except for the full "on" position...but it may just be a dirty pot or something. That is why I am knocking off some price from what these are normally selling for online used.

It's in excellent condition and sounds absolutely great, I just don't have any use for it. It's shaped just like the Dan Armstrong bass and is very light. Here's a picture:

If anybody knows just exactly what this may be, please fill me in. I always thought it was a bass, but regular bass strings don't fit on it and it's fitted with basically guitar tuners. I'm not sure how much I'm asking yet, so shoot me an offer and I'll get back to you. I'm also looking to trade for/towards:

1)a Marshall JCM 800 2204

2)any Marshall cab with celestions (particularly greenbacks)

One of a kind

Up for sale is this gorgeous, truly one-of-a-kind Tyler six string bass. I am the original owner, it was made by Jim Tyler and Myself when I worked at Tyler, and the finish was done by yours truly. The piece was made roughly 2006/2007 ish (if memory serves, but sometimes it doesn't) and has been languishing in my house, never been played on a gig or a session, ever since. It has actually never been seen publicly till now. For those of you who don't know a lot about Tyler basses, they are as rare as hens teeth, have a unique character to their sound that is huge, aggressive, articulate, and sweet all at the same time. There are a few that float around for sale every once in a great while, but players tend to keep them as they are very special instruments.

The body has a wenge core with alder body wings, a four way bookmatched Austrailian Lacewood top and back, and is chambered. The neck is a nice piece of lightly figured maple with a Paufero fretboard and position markers on the side of the fingerboard only that are made of abalone, as well as an Ivory nut. Legally obtained of course, before the ban in the US. Nut width is 2.14"/54.55mm. It has a custom made Hipshot bridge which allows the bass to be strung with the ball ends of the strings anchored in the bridge, or strung through the body, and the string spacing at the bridge is 17.25mm. The instrument is also equipped with Hipshot USA tuners, with a drop tuner on the B string, and Hipshot knobs. The pickups were custom made for me by Kevin Bellar as was the active 18 volt preamp which features a master volume, blend control, bass, mid, treble (+/- 25db), a midrange frequency select switch, and a push/pull switch on the volume pot that activates a secondary EQ circuit in the preamp (inside the control cavity) that is currently adjusted for slap style playing.

The instrument does not have a case. Never did. I can have one custom made by G & G Custom Cases in Los Angeles if the buyer wishes, and will offer it at my actual OEM cost, or, it can be shipped, well protected and packed very well of course, in a gig bag.

More pics can be made available by request, and I also have some progress pics of the build that I will happily make available to the buyer. I do offer local pickup in Southern California, and for payment, I accept cash (if you're picking it up), PayPal, or bank wire transfer.

Price is $5000.00 o.b.o. plus shipping.

Will consider offers and possibly trades/trade plus cash.

[img2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/www.harmonycentral.com\/forum\/core\/attachments\/3236047\/"}[/img2]

[img2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/www.harmonycentral.com\/forum\/core\/attachments\/3236048\/"}[/img2]

[img2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/www.harmonycentral.com\/forum\/core\/attachments\/3236049\/"}[/img2]

[img2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/www.harmonycentral.com\/forum\/core\/attachments\/3236050\/"}[/img2]

[img2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/www.harmonycentral.com\/forum\/core\/attachments\/3236051\/"}[/img2]

[img2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/www.harmonycentral.com\/forum\/core\/attachments\/3236052\/"}[/img2]

[img2=JSON]{"data-align":"none","data-size":"full","src":"https:\/\/www.harmonycentral.com\/forum\/core\/attachments\/3236053\/"}[/img2]

Ibanez AGB140 Bass - $250 shipped!

Great quality bass that won't break the bank! A baby is on the way so some things need to go.

Specs -

CIJ

28.5" scale

Tuned E-E

2 single coil pickups

Fixed Bridge

Fuzz Circuit - Battery cover can be seen in the pic of the back. Fuzz ranges from nice and light to really thick and raunchy.

The Bottom Master was only made for 2 years in Japan (CIJ) and never sold in the US. It is like having a guitar, a baritone and a bass all in one. Think vintage Bass VI, just no trem to worry about.

The guitar is dead mint. I can't find a scratch anywhere on it. It still has the plastic on the pickguard and pickups.

Value - Used trade value would be around $1,450, but that is negotiable of course. I may be willing to negotiate more in the case of a straight cash deal. Preferred deal would be gear plus cash for the Bottom Master since I need to get at least a few hundred in the deal.

I really want a Telecaster, preferably MIA with a Maple fretboard, but MIM is fine as well, especially a Road Worn.

    Bass heroes are few and far between. But one player who has unquestionably reached that status is Doug Wimbish. This first-call New York session pro has played with artists such as the Rolling Stones, Mos Def and Living Colour. And he's never without one of his Ibanez DW3B basses. The Ibanez DWB3 is Doug's 4-string model. It combines exotic bubinga with active pickups and an EQ that was custom-designed for Doug. Plus, the Ibanez DWB3 has all the quality and value that the Ibanez name carries with it!

  Ibanez DWB3 Doug Wimbish 4-String Bass at a Glance:

Unlimited upper fret access from neck-through body with ash wings

Active EMG pickups and custom EQ for wide tonal range and focused sound

Superior strength and fret response from maple/bubinga neck and rosewood fretboard

  Unlimited upper fret access from neck-through body with ash wings

The extreme double-cutaway body of the Ibanez DWB3 gives you total freedom to reach even the highest frets with ease, making solo work on the G-string even more fun! The Ibanez DWB3's design makes the most of premium tone woods, with light ash wings secured to the maple/bubinga through neck. It's the perfect combination of tone and light weight, making the Ibanez DWB3 sound great and feel great, too.

  Active pickups and custom EQ for wide tonal range and focused sound

Ibanez enlisted the aid of master pickup builders EMG to outfit the DWB3. The EMG 35P4 gives you the precision tone of a classic bass, while the 35J4 is great for jazzier playing. Plus, imagine running up to 100 feet of cable from the DWB3's low-impedance output to your amp! You don't need to worry about loss of high-frequency response. This Ibanez beauty doesn't need a DI for going straight to a recording or live board, either.

  In addition, the Ibanez DWB3 features a 2-band EQ that was custom-designed to Doug Wimbish's tonal taste. The Ibanez EQB-DW2 offers rapid tone adjustments for bass and treble. Combined with the active technology, this EQ means your DWB3 can assume just about any tonal characteristics you want!

  Superior neck strength and fret response

At the core of the Ibanez DWB3 is its 5-piece maple/bubinga neck. With its neck-through design, it delivers the awesome strength and stability you need for rock-solid intonation. 24 Medium frets are set into the rosewood fingerboard, making the Ibanez DWB3 a pleasure to play.

  Includes hardshell case.

It has one of the nicest flamed maple tops I've ever seen on one of these, very highly figured. Comes with the original hardshell case and all case candy included. It has recently been professionally setup for Standard EADG. It's in very good condition for its age with only a few very tiny dings as shown in the pictures. The neck is in absolutely perfect condition.

Specs:

- Body: Flamed maple top w/ Solid Maple body wings

- Neck: 5pc Maple/Bubinga Neck-thru

- Fingerboard: Rosewood w/ Offset Dot Inlays

- Bridge: Monorail IV Bridge

- Controls: 3 band Vari-Mid Hi-Fi EQ

Not really looking for trades, but I'll consider Ibanez 5 strings of equivalent value. Pretty interested in the fanned fret 5 string.

Located in Kentucky and would prefer not to ship, but can within the U.S. I do not have a HSC for it, but if I have to ship it'll be packaged partially within a softshell case. Shipping TBD based on where it ends up going, I'm guessing approximately $40-$60. Please email me at rainmaker@zoomtown.com with any questions.

It's all original with a beautiful hand stained honey burst finish and a maple neck. It has an excellent set up and sounds and plays great, comes with a gig bag. I am the original owner and it hasn't had much use at all, it's basically like new. I'm in the Denver area and would prefer an in person transaction rather than ship it. If you in in the Denver area and interested please send me a pm for pics.

Forgot how to delete threads

Sold the bass I listed in this thread.
